The Lord Shiva got angry and punished Goddess
Parvathy by requesting her to go to the earth to do self-punishment as an issue
of recovery from the misstep she had submitted. The Devi Parvathi as requested
by her ruler went to Kancheepuram to adore and perform justice.
Goddess Parvathy made a Shiva lingam out of sand
