SHRI KATTUVEERA ANJANEYA TEMPLE
 
Kattuveera Anjaneya Temple is located at the district of Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu This ancient temple is 2500 years old and the primary deity, Anjaneya ensures to fulfill the one wish of devotees within a period of 3 months when one prays with complete devotion and divinity.
 
One Wish One Prayer:
 
After paying 50 Rs in the counter, devotees are offered a saffron bag containing coconut and betel leaves. Interestingly, coconuts are given to devotees with numbers written over them, and a card is also given them to which has the same number on coconut.  Devotees offer their prayers to Anjaneya with one wish in their mind. The saffron bag along with a dakshina is tied and kept inside Anjaneya’s sanctrum where powerful slogans and mantras are recited by temple priest. After this ritual, the priest returns the saffron bags to devotees.
The devotee has to complete 11 rounds around the temple chanting “sri Ram jai Ram Jai Jai Jai Ram” mantra  with absolute faith and divinity. After completing the 11 pradikshnas, the saffron bag is kept along with other devotees’ bags for 3 months. It is a widely known belief that the one wish would get fulfilled within this time period of 3 months and the devotee can get back to the temple again and claim the saffron bag from the temple.
 
Special Appearance
 
Within the temple premises, one can witness a mystical element of natural rock formation that has transformed into Nandi. One cannot miss out this experience which adds a column of support to show Lord Shiva’s presence here

  • Do contact Temple Devasthanam information centre for enquiry, temple information and for Pooja details etc.
  • Do reserve your travel and accommodation at Temple well in advance.
  • Do bath and wear clean clothes before you enter the temple.
  • Do concentrate on God and Goddess inside the temple.
  • Do maintain silence and recite your Istamantram to yourself inside the temple.
  • Do observe ancient custom and traditions while in Temple.
  • Do respect religious sentiments at Temple.
  • Do deposit your offerings in the hundi only.



 

Don't s:

  • Do not come to Temple for any purpose other than worshipping of God and Goddess.
  • Do not smoke at Temple.
  • Do not consume alcoholic drinks at Temple.
  • Do not eat non-vegetarian food in the Kshetram.
  • Do not approach mediators for quick Darshanam. It may cause inconvenient to others.
  • Do not carry any weapon inside the temple.
  • Do not wear any head guards like helmets, caps, turbans and hats inside the temple premises.
  • Do not perform Sastanga Pranama inside the Sanctum Sanctorum.
  • Do not take much time while performing Sparsa Darshanam to God in Garbhagriha.
  • Do not buy spurious prasadams from street vendors.
  • Do not encourage beggars at Temple.
  • Do not spit or create nuisance in the premises of the temple.
