Morning after breakfast straight drive to Haridwar.

HARIDWAR: It has been proved by archaeological findings that terracotta culture had an existence in Haridwar during 1700 B.C. & 1800 B.C. Haridwar has been in people's mind from the period of Buddha to the British arrival & still in the 21st century. Haridwar was ruled by Maurya Empire from 322 BCE to 185 BCE and later it came under the rule of Kushan Empire according to historical evidences. Well-known Chinese traveler Huan Tsang visited India in 629 AD. He has mentioned Haridwar in his travel journal. At that time Haridwar was part of the kingdom of the King Harshvardhan (590 to 647). The city was also invaded by Timur Lang (1336?1405), a Turkish King on January 13, 1399. First Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak (1469?1539) bathed at ?Kushwan Ghat? on Baisakhi Day. Later in the 16th century Haridwar came under reign of Mughals and emperors like Akbar and Jehangir stamped their dominated here. According to Ain-e-Akbari Mughal Emperor, Akbar drank water from the Ganges River collected from Haridwar, which he called ?the water of immortality?.

Morning after breakfast proceeds for the full day sightseeing of Haridwar visiting Haridwar Temples.

MANSA DEVI TEMPLE: Mansa Devi Temple on the top of the Siwalik Hills is devoted to the Goddess Mansa Devi, who was the daughter of Lord Shiva. This temple is the tower of Haridwar City, looking down on the city, as a devoted mother looks after her beloved children. Here, one statue of the Goddess has 3 mouths and 5 arms while the other statue has 8 arms. A stunning sight of the city can be had from this place. It is thought that whoever worships Goddess Mansa Devi, gets, their desires fulfilled.

After Mansa Devi visit return to your hotel for Lunch. Relax a while at hotel. Afternoon proceed for rest sightseeing of Haridwar.                

BHARAT MATA TEMPLE: About 4 Km from Haridwar, the Bharat Mata Temple, is a real gorgeous temple, having 6 floors. The ground floor has the striking statue of Bharat Mata. The foremost floor has the Sant Temple, which has statues of great saints like Buddha, Mahavir and Guru Nanak.

GAURI SHANKAR TEMPLE: Gaurishankar Mahadev temple is one more religious place in Haridwar. Positioned near to the Chandi Devi temple, this temple is recognized to represent Lord Shiva. Gaurishankar Temple is a part of the various religious festivities held throughout the year. Any religious individual offering prayers with all his devotion gets his wishes fulfilled in this temple.

HARI KI PAURI: Holy ghats are named after the Charan (Footprints) of Hari (God Vishnu) impressed on a stone, set into the upper wall of the ghats. Constructed by King Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bhartrihari, it is thought that Bhartihari eventually came to Haridwar, to meditate by the banks of the holy Ganga. When he died, his brother constructed the Ghat in his name, which later came to be famous as Har-Ki-Pauri. This sacred bathing ghat, is also famous as Brahmakund. The reflection of golden hues of floral diyas, in the river Ganga, is the most delightful sight in the twilight, throughout the Ganga Arti Ceremony. It is the most important ghat on the river Ganga, where a holy dip is a must for every devotee.

Evening you can visit Aarti at River Ganges.

AARTI RIVER GANGES: Ganga Aarti Hardwar is performed at Har-ki-Pauri Ghat. Har Ki Pauri is one of the most famous places to take holy dip in the river Ganga. Ganga Aarti means prayer for the River Ganga. Aarti is an ancient Hindu ritual offered to Gods, holy things, spiritual leaders or to the guests. Aarti word is from the Sanskrit language which means remover of darkness (ingnorance). Aarti is performed at the Har Ki Pauri Ghat which is built in 1st century by King Vikram. Bhratuhari was brother of King Vikram who meditated here for Lord Vishnu and Lord Vishnu apeared here to give him blessing. That is why the place named Har Ki Pauri (Foot Prints of God). This is also the same place where drop of nector fell down and that is why it is also prime attraction in Kumbh Mela Festival in Haridwar.

Later return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Haridwar.

Timely transfer to the Haridwar Railway Station to board the train to Varanasi. Overnight journey on board the train.

Morning after breakfast proceed for the day excursion to Rishikesh.

RISHIKESH: The whole area (Garhwal) was famous as Kedarkhand in the past as mentioned in the Skanda Purana. As per the Skanda Purana the area is named as Kubjamrak because here lord Vishnu appeared to Raibhya Rishi under a mango tree. Raibhya Rishi selected the place for his long penance (Tapasya or austerity) Lord Vishnu was pleased by his act and appeared to the sage as a "Hrishikesh." The word is combination of two word Hrishik and esh. Hrishik means senses and esh means god or master. It means god of senses. The Sthala Purana states as follows: "Raibhya Rishi preferred the sacredness and beauty of the place where Lord Vishnu appeared, so he remained there in the form of intense plants, which look like his matted locks. In consideration of this and the divine qualities of Raibhya Rishi, the area recognized as Rishi Kesha or Rishikesh, or the hair of the Rishi (Sage). Skanda Purana mentions that the Lord Vishnu blessed Raibhya Rishi and gave him this divine message: "while you have performed supreme tapasya (austerities) by controlling your senses, let the place be recognized as Hrishikesha (Lord Hrishikesha, master of all senses).

Reach at Rishikesh and proceed to visit Rishikesh Temples and other places.

RAM JHULA: Ramjhula is situated 3Km north of Rishikesh. It's a very popular place amongst people coming for religious purposes because it has very known Ashrams. Most known is Geeta Bhavan & Swarg Ashram and these temples are very important in Hindu society and you will see much more commotion here then in Lakshmanjhula.

LAKSHMAN JHULA: Lakshman Jhula a suspension bridge 450 feet long and built in 1939. Named after Lord Ram's younger brother Lakshman, it has temples dotting its either side, including the famed Lakshman Temple at Tapovan. One more noteworthy ashram is the 13 storeyed Kailashananda Ashram, with each storey being dedicated to a different deity.

NEELKHANTH MAHADEV TEMPLE: To be found at a distance of 12 km from Rishikesh, this temple stands at a height of 926m on top of a hill across the river Ganga. It derives its name from Lord Shiva. According to mythological belief; the cosmic churning of the oceans (Sagar Manthan) for the potion of immortality (amrit) by the Gods and the Demons; produced a venomous liquid, which was consumed by Lord Shiva at this place. As a result, his throat became blue in color, which in Hindi literally means 'Neelkanth' (blue throat). The place is a favorite among the religious tourists.

PARMARTH NIKETAN TEMPLE: Parmarth Niketan Temple is also the most well-liked temple among the all. The Niketan has a school sprint on traditional Indian style, which is designed for its great job on Hinduism. Every day in the sunset, the Arti and Hawan is organizes by the Ashram in Ganga on the Parmarth Ghat.

After Rishikesh sightseeing drive back to Haridwar. Dinner & Overnight stay will be at Haridwar.

Morning after breakfast proceeds for the day excursion of Mathura.

MATHURA: According to the history of Mathura, it became a part of the Mauryan Empire under the reign of King Ashoka. The benevolent king was an ardent follower of Buddhism. During this period, in the 3rd century BC he build beautiful Buddhist monuments and monasteries in and around Mathura. The city was an important center of art and culture between first century BC and first century AD. The wonderful carvings and sculpture of this period are referred to as the Mathura School of Art. After the decline of the Mauryan Empire, Hinduism establishes its stronghold in this region. Mahmud Ghazni ransacked the city in 11 th century AD destroying Buddhist and Hindu shrines. Finally, it came under the British rule in 1804. 

Under the British rule the city was gifted with a cantonment. The Bhakti cult inspired the resurgence of Hindu movement. The Hindu rulers were instrumental in building up temples, river front ghats and finally revived the legend of Lord Krishna.

Upon arrival at Mathura proceed to visit Mathura Temples.

KRISHNA JANAMBHOOMI TEMPLE: It is located in Mathura near the railway station. The temple is one of the main attraction of the city in Uttar Pradesh and an important place of pilgrimage for the devotees of Hindu community. This Temple is distinguished as the place of birth of Lord Krishna. It is a popular belief that nearly 5000 years ago Lord Krishna was born in the prison of King Kansa in Mathura.

DWARKADHEESH TEMPLE: It is located near the eastern banks of river Yamuna in Uttar Pradesh. The temple was constructed in 1814 and is located at a central place in the city of Mathura. It can be visited between 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM all throughout the year. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Krishna.

THE KRISHNA BALRAM TEMPLE:It was established in 1975 under the aegis of ISKCON, an international Krishna Consciousness religious group. The Krishna Balaram Temple is one of the most beautiful temple complexes in the city of Vrindavan and is seen as the spiritual and religious center of the worldwide Hare Krishna movement. It has three temples within the complex, one belonging to Sri Gaura Nitai, one to Lord Krishna and Balaram and the third to Sri Radha and her milkmaids, Vishaka and Lalita. The temple is alive through the year with its many celebrations commemorating every aspect and step of Lord Krishna's life.

BANKEY BIHARI TEMPLE: The Bankey Bihari Temple of Vrindavan is one of the most auspicious temples in the town, established in the Mughal times by Swami Haridas, the guru of Tansen, the famed court singer of the Mughal emperor Akbar. The temple earns its name from the bent posture of the Krishna idol within the main chamber, an idol with a history. This idol is supposed to have been made according to the image of Lord Krishna that Swami Haridas saw in a dream. The temple is one of the most thronged sites in town and during the Jhulan Utsav, the temple administration brings out many gold and silver swings for the jhulan rituals with a lot of pomp. 

After Mathura sightseeing drive back to Delhi. 

Upon arrival at Delhi transfers to the Delhi?s local restaurant for Dinner.

Later transfer to your hotel.  Overnight stay will be At Delhi.

GURUDWARA BANGLA SAHIB TEMPLE: Gurdwara Bangla Sahib is among the most prominent Sikh gurdwara, or Sikh house of worship, in Delhi. The Bangla Sahib Gurudwara is recognized by its stunning golden dome and tall flagpole.

CHATTARPUR MANDIR: Chattarpur Mandir is located at a distance of approximately 4 km from the famous Qutab Minar in the Mehrauli area of Delhi. It is a beautiful monument which is built in both the South Indian as well as North Indian style of architecture

LAKSHMI NARAYAN TEMPLE: Lakshmi Narayan Mandir is situated in the west of Connaught Place in Delhi. The temple is constructed by Raja Baldev Das in the year 1938 and is been dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.

LOTUS TEMPLE: Lotus Temple located in modern Delhi is one such temple that facilitates the Bhai's Faith of Worship. The Baha?i House of Worship is one dedicated to the oneness of all religions and mankind.

SRI DIGAMBAR JAIN MANDIR: Sri Digambar Jain Lal Mandir is an ancient temple dedicated to the 23rd Tirthankara or Lord Parashvanath and is known as the oldest Jain temple in Delhi that lies opposite the famous Red Fort at the junction of Chandni Chowk and Netaji Subhash Marg which is approachable via local transport and the metro link.
